Today a famous rugby player came to Pt England school, and he was named Sekope Kepu. Sekope told us that his dad said if he was serious about rugby, he needed to run around the block. So he started off by running around the block. After that he started training with gear. He had a talk with team 4 about how he pursued his dreams by being a famous rugby player and how he became a famous rugby player. His children were homeschooled due to lockdown, but now they come to our school. His team leaders dropped off gear for him. 

Sekope was born in Australia and raised in Glen Innes. He played in France, and then in London. The teams he played in were the Warratahs, and then he made it into the Australian team - the Wallabies!

He is currently with the steelers. He started rugby at Tamaki club at the age of 6.

Help I'm lost in Brazil!

Hello my name is Manaia I am from New Zealand. I am competing in the Amazing Race competition which has brought me to Brazil for this leg of the race. I am very scared because I don’t speak an Portuguese and we are really lost. 

I am travelling with my friend Raewyn. She is my best friend and the only person I could trust to do the Amazing Race with. We never fight and have lots of fun together so she was the best person to choose to come with me. 

I am staying for 5 days and 4 nights. I will be staying at a hotel down the road from here. It's a five star hotel but the only thing is that they charge extra money for the food and it is terrible so I don’t feel like I should have to pay extra.  

We are trying to get to Rio de Janeiro to get our next clue so we can find out what we need to do next. Once we get to Rio de Janeiro I think we have to look around for a clue somewhere close to the statue. 

I am needing help to find my hotel because we can't get to the statue now because it is closed. We also need help to get to Rio de Janeiro really early tomorrow morning so we can be the first ones there to get the next clue. 

I know you must be busy but if there is any chance you could please help us and be our tour guide while we are here. We can pay you some money for your troubles. Please help us.

Dear diary 6 days ago i went to italy and there were lots of lovely people there i got 5 free chocolate donuts 2 of them had sprinkles on them and the other 3 had no sprinkles on them they just had chocolate icing on them i ate 1 of each and then put them back in the box and went to the museum and I saw a big nice painting of mona lisa It was so amazing then i saw one of my friends i said HI raewyn i missed you so much me to i missed you so so so much as well i couldn't stop thinking about you that's how much i missed you have you seen the famous monalisa yes i have raewyn wait manaia where is the mona lisa manaia looked around and the mona lisa was gone were is it said manaia i have no idear said raewyn lets go tell the Security guard said manaia that's a great idea lets go when we went to tell the guard that the mona lisa was missing we went back and the mona lisa was back were it was and then we went to jail and then the person that stole the mona lisa was there the boss told the guard to let them go because they weren't the people that stole the mona lisa then we had enuf of italy and raewyn cam to new zealand with me and we live in the same house it was a very cool house.

Blue Whale Writing Task

I think that blue whales should be kept in their natural habitat. They live in the ocean which is really big and gives them lots of room to swim around. There is lots of food in the ocean for them to eat when they are hungry. 

They should be kept in the ocean because they are free to move around in the ocean. I think they will be happier in the ocean because they can do what they can do whatever they want to do. They have to be careful of people because they can get caught from people on their boat or they could get caught from people with fishing guns.

Blue whales are endangered because of people and their environment, with all the rubbish in the ocean. It is important for some blue whales to be saved by people and put in zoos so that they are cared for and don’t become extinct. But I think that they would be happier in their natural habitat. We should try and protect the ocean they live in and also not hunt them so they can keep living in the ocean.

Task Description: Today we are learning about blue whales. For writing we had to choose if we thought whales should be in zoos or kept in their natural habitat. I think they should be in their natural because they are happier.

Dear Diary, 

What an unforgettable day!  I was busy collecting water from the well, when the sun mysteriously disappeared from the sky.

I looked up and saw lava rain and lava on the ground and i quickly ran inside my house but i just remembered that my house is made of wood my house will catch on fire and i am in my house what am i going to do some of my house is already on fire OH ON its spreading all of it is spreading all over my house WHAT AM I GOING TO DO i need to find somewhere to get out of here but how i have to find somewhere to escape were is a safe door OH NO I AM SURROUNDED BY THE FIRE HELP HELP HELP SOMEONE GET MY OUT OF THIS HOUSE i know were to go in the safe that i built so nothing can get in not even fire and lava wait how am i going to get in there if i am surrounded with fire there is a place i can escape from the fire lets go to the safe i am here at the safe lets go in i have the key i am in there is a master bedroom in here lots of lollies and food to eat i even have WiFi a TV a phone a tablet a laptop and a Chromebook and everything else that i need i will be safe here its called a safe i built it with some help and it is safe to go in here 

Discovering Chocolate

One sunny afternoon I was hunting with my Dad in the forest and then I saw a tree with strange looking fruit on it. So I decided to go and grab one to see what it was. Then one of them fell on top of my head and then I told my dad to come and I asked my dad if I can have a look inside of the strange looking fruit. We opened it and we saw something that had a funny colour that looked like something that we have never seen before.

Then it started raining and then we went in to our big hut that we made in the morning it is very strong nothing will be able to break it down we even have a door that has a lock and when we lock it it will be very strong so nothing will be able to get in here we even have beds in here.

We had left the strange looking fruit outside in the rain then we went to go and look at it later there was a muddy looking brown water coming from the fruit. We were so thirsty that we had a drink and it was so yummy. This is how we discovered chocolate.

Dear teacher my name is Manaia and i am 7 and my birthday is April the 9  I am so existed to be in year 4 next year. I have 2 sisters. My sister Georgia is 3 years old and my sister Hearley-rose is only 10 months old. My mum is  Jai is 28 and my dad Stan is 31 I am nice to my sisters. I like playing on the park with my friend Meliame and all my other friends. I like reading because after you  finish the book. You can definitely o the activities. And my culture is Maori  I also like doing writing because you get to write lots of stories in your writing books. and at home I like i,playing tag with my sister. Georgia and I also like playing with my sister Healey-rose . Would like my teacher to help me do some of my maths. I like to dance at home.   And I also like playing in my doll house. One sunny morning there was a girl called rose and she was a princess and she lived in a castle with sparkling with gems one afternoon she went for a walk to pick some flowers and she thought she was going the right way But she wasn’t and she got lost that night she spent the night in the cold forest and in the morning she heard a nose and it was a princess and she said hello are you ok no said rose I’m lost so the princess gave her a ride in her carriage and they were safe princess rose said thank-you for being kind and taking me home.

I added my two eyes two ears my nose and my mouth  fihall I drew my hair and caused in my face after that my teacher are on the black lines and I finished colouring in my picture  . I liked my picture because it is nice.
